Malfunction light and a 05' Pacifica?

The malfunction light came on this 05 Pacifica about a week ago. Just on not blinking and no differance in the cars performance. Toke it to a shop and got a diagnostic done which showed nothing was wrong and it wasnt giving off any codes or warnings ect (I am no mechanic so please excuse) after he toke it off then started it the light went off. What are these stamps on my icons?

Recently some of the icons on my desktop of my PC running Windows-7 have acquired stamps in the form of a red dot containing a white exclamation point on the center of the bottom edge of the icon. I don't see any information as to why these icons have been marked, looking at properties or opening the files doesn't cause any warnings to appear. Most of the marked files are documents - .doc, .gif, .odt, .pdf, .txt, .odp, .png, .mp4, .ppt, and one is an .exe file. Anyone know what this stamp means? Is it safe to use promethazine with an epipen?

The wife after a month or so recognises that she has made a colossal error and returns to the husband. A month goes by when the husband returns from work one day, she notifies him she is leaving, again. Reason unclear something to do with the alleged affair. 12 years earlier, supposedly. Two months elapse when she is convinced that her husband is telling the truth, why the cold, cruel, in sensitive back stabbing attack occurred in the first place, who knows ? That's twice, fast forward 5 more years. She leaves to get milk and the next call received from her is the I'm not coming home call. To recap, Happy marriage 18 years, out side interference, first and second separation. Now its five years since the second separation over 15 years since the bs affair and the end of March 2011, she is now over 300 miles away, very little contact yet she says,please don't divorce me, and move here you can get a place and I will stay here ( with family ). I really don't have a question, I just had to tell the story...WTF ? Oh yea, the husband sort of adopted her family as his own because he didn't have his own. Now she has created such a divide that the sudo family is ice cold to him...really WTF...? Wait, I have a question, if you were the family of the wife, given a 27 year history that was all good, would you, could you, just turn you back on the husband without even a call or letter or e-mail or smoke signal..just completely ignore his calls, texts....The husband is pretty cool, always there when needed without asking and without expecting anything in return. I am so sick of that stereotype! Words cannot even beigin to fathom my empathy for it!!! I am a Hispanic male, 14. We've been living in the U.S. For 7 years now. My father is an orthodontist, he makes $365,000 a year. My mother is a homemaker. Currently, I am enrolled in a private school, I am in all AP classes with a 4.0 GPA. I'm not too big on sports, but that might change since I want something to look good on a college application (I am in tons of clubs, though). Even though I have lived here a short 7 years, I would consider myself almost a master of the English Language. I have been riveted by all that it has to offer and how the eloquence of one's words can clearly place their education and social position. I spend my free time immersing myself in literature. I can speak fluent English, French, and Spanish and am learning Latin. I love the works of authors like Shakespeare (he is my idol) and love to play chess, read, write, paint, and play the violin. i have been writing novels since I was 6 (the early ones were obviously in Spanish, I learned to write fairly good English after living here for a year) and am working on getting one published. To me, this seems proof enough that Hispanics can be smart and successful. My paternal grandfather is a CEO, making over 3 million a year. My maternal grandfather is a wealthy dentist in Colombia. My mother, while unemployed to care of the home, is certified to be a dentist and has her degree. I don't understand why so many people continue to think of us as wild, rocous people who are uncivilized brutes, because we are not. The city in Colombia that I come from has a district similar to the Upper east side in New York; South America isn't a jungle, it's full of vibrant cities. I don't understand why people tend to have such negative views of Hispanics.

How to convince my body to run on a regular basis?

I like to run, I guess, but only for the feeling I receive after the workout. Because during the actual run, i dread it SO much! I'm a pretty lazy person, so because of that, no matter how much I need the exercise, I don't do it. There are times where I have to drag my body outside, and its funny because every time after I finish, I feel amazing and promise myself that I'll make this a daily routine. Teaching husband that spanking isn't the answer to everything?

My husband and I have 3 sons (ages 8, 7, and 4). We've always had relatively different parenting styles but spanking is one aspect of discipline that we absolutely cannot agree on. It's not that I don't think spanking is appropriate in some situations but my husband thinks it's appropriate in every situation. I have talked with him about trying things like warnings or timeout before spanking them but he has told me he sees no reason to use alternative methods of discipline when spanking is working "perfectly fine". It's not that non-physical methods of discipline don't work on our kids-he just doesn't feel the use in giving them a warning or putting them in timeout 2 times when he can just spank them once and not have to deal with it again. He said "the boys will behave themselves and they will listen to me the first time and if spanking is what gets that message across, then that's what I will continue to use". It's not that I'm asking him to completely stop spanking our kids-I just want him to at least try methods other than his hands to teach right from wrong. Is that too much to ask?

Ive made three videos on WMM and each 1 will save correctly, but wen i try 2 publish it it wont do it properly. Ive noticed that during certain parts of each vid, it would freeze. ive checked this on several websites that said 2 change either the music or video files that would freeze and that would work. however, changing both did little help, and i noticed that the same video would work on other amvs and no matter wat i changed, the vid wil freeze in the same spot. any suggestions?

I purchased a brand new acer aspire laptop and as soon as i started using it, within the first couple days I realized it was acting strange, the clock settings would not stay. I called the tech support # and they told me how to fix it,then other strange behaviors like missing tool bar icons and the touch pad mouse would stop working. i thought it was a virus?I have spent hours and days trying to clean my computer, but it was clean. Yesterday i found registry errors and warnings.. they are dated back three months before i purchased it brand new!! I thought it had been used prior to me, so i called acer and they said no it has software problems and i need to use my restore disks but they wouldent work ! Acer said i can purchase the disks for $ 20.00. WHAT? I am still under warranty for a couple weeks. Does anyone have any advice?

1999 Mercedes Benz E 430: Opinions/Warnings/Experiences?

I'm 3 months from turning 15 & starting drivers ed, and my grandpa has given me his old 1999 Mercedes Benz E 430. He bought it as a gem in i think 2004, put a few dents and very few miles on it, then gave it to my aunt (who used it for about a year) and then it went back to him. He took it to the Mercedes dealer and had it's problems fixed (nothing major), and has given it to me. I rode in it and its very smooth, 275 HP V8, comfortable, and handles well. However, i've noticed a couple of service campaigns on the airbags, and from what i understand the fixes have not been done on this car. Does anyone know where i can find out the range of VIN numbers these recalls apply to? Also, any opinions/experiences on the car are welcome. I'm thrilled to have this as a first car, despite its many dents (being taken to paintless dent removal soon). Which Nancy Drew game should I get?

Okay, well Trail of the Twister is a good game if you like a lot of puzzles. I liked the graphics in the game, and you got to explore a lot. I mean you got to chase a twister! Warnings at Waverly Academy was one of the better ones. There's a lot of exploring, and the characters re good, and not as many puzzles. Danger by Design was epic, too. It takes place in France and you get to go a lot of places and explore, and do a lot of crazy stuff. The Final Scene was okay, but I didn't like it that much. To progress the game, you had to do something specific, and the graphics are not that good, plus you can't explore much. Stay Tuned for Danger was very good. I loved it. You get to explore a lot and the characters are awesome. You get to be in a TV show, too. My favorite Nancy Drew games that I think you should try are: The Phantom of Venice,Danger on Deception Island, Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon, The Creature of Kapu Cave,The Haunting of Castle Malloy, Shadow at Watrs Edge, and Secrets Can Kill Remastered. ok.. so you have power and ground set up for the amp.. thats easy to hook up to the amp.. there will be three wires.. one set will be your RCA cables that plug into the back of your deck labels amp or rear outputs.. these are what tell your amp to do... then there will be a thin blue wire.. it will also be labeled on your deck and also should be a blue colored wire.. this will tell your amp to turn on and off with your deck.. very simple.. then you will run your speaker wire to your sub as you normally would. hope this helps

How do I get my stressed-out, antisocial old cat used to my new, very rambunctious kitten?

About 2 months ago my mom got a new, male kitten. She kept him in her room for a few weeks, and for about a week would very briefly expose him to the old cat, a 3 or so year old female who tends to be hostile to anyone new, human or animal (she growls and hisses at the sight, sound, or even smell of a stray cat outside, and reacts similarly to any person she has not known for several months, especially if they're ever loud). The cat would hiss and growl at the kitten, and bat at her paws under the door (our house is small and there's no way to put more than 1 door between them, every room shares a door with the living room). Last month mom released the kitten from her room full-time, despite my warnings that it was too much too fast and would only lead to trouble, and it's been constant stress for the old cat the whole time. The kitten was initially afraid of the cat, who would constantly hiss and growl, and when the kitten would try to go near her to smell her the cat would bat at her. But soon the kitten stopped putting up with it, and would bat back. He began to enter the play-fighting phase and in addition to constantly pretend-attacking my mom, sister, and me, he would ALSO do it to the old cat, chasing her around the house ceaselessly. The cat began to get VERY stressed out, even becoming hoarse from all the growling and angry meowing. Even when the kitten wasn't doing anything at all, she would start to growl and stare whenever she saw the kitten. The kitten started eating the cat's food and water, so mom put them up on the kitchen table (don't worry, we NEVER actually use it for anything other than laying out laundry) so the kitten couldn't reach. This lead to the cat staying almost exclusively on the table and in my sister's room, her favorite place. The kitten started going in there, too, though, but after about a week of the food being moved the cats seemed to get along a tiny bit better. The cat would hiss less, but the same stuff still went on. Then last week I changed the old cat's cat box, and this made the kitten curious. He kept going in it, and I'm not sure if he used it or not but it seems like he did. The cat, always trying to avoid the kitten at all costs, would not go near her litter box and when we woke up the next morning, she had pooped all over the table and on one my shirts and some of my sister's clothes. According to my mom, though I've seen no evidence of this, the cat's fur started falling out, and fearing for the cat's health, she made a post on facebook offering the kitten for adoption to any of her friends who wanted it. I really like the kitten, more than the old cat, because where the old cat is antisocial and rarely wants to cuddle or let us pet her or do anything other than lay on my sister's bed while she's away, the kitten is very affectionate and fun, and is significantly more friendly to everyone, even the old cat, who he still tries to be nice too when he isn't chasing her around. We couldn't make the kitten stop chasing, though, so in an effort to prevent mom from getting rid of him, I dumped a ton of stuff from my drawers in my room to hide my multiple game consoles and their cords (the old cat is a horrible cord-chewer and I'm not taking chances, it ruined my gamecube and ps2 cords), cleaned my room, and moved the kitten's litter box and food/water there. My plan is to keep the kitten in my room at the very least long enough to let the cat calm down, and hopefully for the kitten's play-fighting phase to end. The kitten doesn't mind staying there when I'm there, but when I leave my room he cries, and the old cat will come and hiss at the door. I can't keep the old cat from going near my door, it's in a hallway connected to the living room and it's between there and my sister's room, and I don't know what to do. I desperately want to keep the kitten, I'm home by myself much of the time because I'm still searching for a job so I can move out (and I plan to take the kitten with me), and the kitten is the only real company I have because the old cat never wants to be around anyone more than a few minutes at a time. I want to reintroduce the cats later much more slowly and gradually, but I'm worried mom has ruined any chance of them getting along with her rushed introduction. The usual methods of introducing cats and kittens just don't seem to work, my old cat is just too hostile. But there's no way my mom will consider getting rid of her in favor of the kitten, and I can't keep the poor kitten locked in my room. And I'm worried what will happen to the kitten if we get rid of him. I just don't know what to do, I'm not going to give up the kitten without a fight. Are things already ruined beyond repair? And if not, what do I do?

Switching to a gentle cleanser for my acne. How long before I know if it's working?

While I'm waiting for my dermatologist appointment next month, I've decided to eschew all acne products and just wash my face with a gentle cleanser. I've tried several for a few days to a week, but find I still have acne popping up, sometimes in places(like my forehead) that I don't normally get pimples. Employment Law Questions about Flexible Working/Homeworking/Work-Life Balance?

I requested working from home with my employer. They granted me 2 days a week on a 3 month Trail Period with the possibility to increase if everything was fine, or revoke if it didnt work out. Several others are also on these terms as well. The 3 months has elapsed in April and I am continuing to work 2 days from home as is everyone else whos Trial Period have also elapsed. There has been NO review of the trial for any of us... but again there has been NO indication that they are unhappy with the result as we are still doing this. Can I request this to now not be a verbal agreement and a change to my contract.. how long does a working practice have to remain in place before I can get it in my contract. If My emplyer refuses to update my contract and wants to keep it as a verbal agreement.. where do I stand? Can they make changes to it at anytime? Revoke it? Or do I have a right to say that it is my working practice and they cannot take it away? I do not have children, I do not care for anyone.... I was granted this on the basis that I my commute is 2.5 hours each way and an 8 hour day in the office meant my work-life balance was seriously affecting my wellbeing and health and also I could not work late or overtime because of the fact I had too far to travel etc.. I am concerned though without it being concrete in my contract they could take this away from me when they feel like and I will have my health affected again!

Trying to save a baby kitty?

I have to drive through a bad part of town to get home from work. One night the winds where just whipping around and a baby kitty was chasing a leaf on the street. He ran into the weeds. I go by my middle name, and I've gone by it my whole life. It hasn't really affected me. The only thing that's annoying is having to tell people I go by my middle name in school. Trying to play a game on my laptop?

I purchased Duke Nukem Forever for the pc, and installed it on my laptop. My laptop installed it with no problem at all, never popped up any form of warning. Everytime I try to play it, my computer locks, or lags so much that it locks during a loading screen. I have to hold the power button (Ctrl Alt Del does nothing). Why is it that it installed without any problem and didn't pop up any warnings (some games I tried before would pop up and say i needed some certain graphics card, etc), but it can't play on my laptop? A little while ago I asked a question about if VBACs were more successful if pregnancies are spaced quite far apart. UKNurse answered that it depends on what the cause for the first c-section was, that if it was a case of a pelvis being too small then there's nothing that can be done about that and it will be another c-section. What if that was the case (that the original c section was because of a too small pelvis) but on the second time around the mother went into labor prematurely and wound up having, say, a six pound baby instead of a nine pound baby. Would she most likely be able to deliver naturally under those circumstances, if the baby was much smaller? Would the doctors at least give her a chance since the baby is smaller, or would they wheel her right into surgery?

Because I heard alcohol, namely vodka, works as a disinfectant. I have a vague memory of this one picture book from when I was a kid but we don't have it anymore and I can't find it in Google. It centered around a little boy who went to fight a dragon because everyone in his village was afraid of it. 10 gallon fish tank question?

I recently decided to set-up an aquarium using my brother's 10 gallon tank. I cleaned the gravel/substrate as well as the aquarium objects. I researched about "new tank syndrome" and a good way to set-up a healthy tank. However, at the pet store, I impulsively purchased two cardinal tetras instead of zebrafish (I also purchased a black mystery snail and a live plant: I forget the official name but I can provide that later). I checked the water temperature, the pH, nitrite, ammonia levels: they are all suitable for the fish. Nonetheless, I am concerned that the fish will not be healthy since they are in a group of less than 5. Also, I eventually want to add bottomfeeders and potentially zebrafish, but I obviously can't put more than 9-10 small fish in this tank. How would you suggest going about the next 6-8 weeks to establish a good nitrogen cycle? Any other suggestions or warnings?

Say a story is REALLY cliche, do you even bother trying to read it?

What I mean is that if a story has a really cliche main plot, do you bother to at least try it? Or do you just dump it? Because a huge idea in my story (going to another world) is waaaaaay too cliche for some people's liking. But I'm afraid when and IF I get it published the other world thing will be a turn-off. I mean I try to see if the writing/back plots are good and original (which I think mine are) and then judge if I should continue but maybe I'm unique. I make movies with high effects. I make them with adobe after effects. The problem is that when im making the movie i can hear the sound with the RAM preview but after i publish it to an AVI or other video file it has no sound. Ive tried using sound on other programs and they work. Its just that after saving they are muted nomatter what! Please help :) Thanks! :) Please be descriptive. LGBT :Publishing Book Trouble?

I am trying to get a book published that would mostly fit and appeal to the LGBT community, but two agents rejected me already. It just hurts to think people may not like my book and it has me questioning myself as a writer because I think it is a good book especially since most of it is real. I dont know if it was rejected because it was gay and the agents didnt want that or because it was my writing. I get the same comment in each rejection letter "We feel your book isnt a right fit" idk what to take of that and no other feedack is given...so what do i do are there any LGBT agents or publshers who can tell me what they think or atleast give decent feedback , because family and friends give skewed opinions.

A gifted writer doesn't *need* formal education, but it sure doesn't hurt. It expands your universe and improves your writing ability. Realistically though, probably less than 1% of writers can survive from their writing. You need a backup plan. Getting a college degree or learning a skilled trade will provide you the means to support yourself if writing doesn't pan out (or at least will keep you alive til your writing takes off). Well before the start of my senior year I decided I wanted to enlist in the Navy. The only problem was that I was about 60 lbs overweight. My mind was set on the Navy so I decided to try and lose some weight..In about 9 months I have lost close to 50 pounds by pure diet and exercise. I didnt do any hardcore cardio or dumb shortcuts..I just ate healthier and went to the gym 3-5 times a week..all I did was the elliptical and ab workouts such as scissor kicks, crunches, and sit ups. I am proud to say that I am almost at my goal and I wont stop until my goal is reached.

I actually asked the same thing not too long ago. I've been coming (or at least trying) up with a series since I was 12, I'm 21 now. I've had at least 2-3 really good/creative ones, but died out over time when I had to focus on work/school, so now i'm trying to get back into it. The best advice I could give you from my experience, BE ORIGINAL, yet good. The one thing I hate is people just do the same BS over n over. Don't get me wrong, it's ok to have strong influences from certain stories, but try to make it something uniquely yours. If you're dead serious about getting the right art supplies, there are professional kits ranging in prices, it depends, look it up. They usually have everything from pen, basic drawing pencils, shading pencils...ect. I think the trickiest part is getting decent colors. As for publishing I'm not sure. I heard Akira Toriyama (creator of dragonball (z)) got big/noticed after winning a contest when he submitted his comics/drawing he made as a hobby and from there started getting his stuff published from there. I'm not too professional myself, so this is all I can tell ya, hope I helped

Why is my American Bulldog growling at my boyfriend?

My boyfriend and I moved to Colorado from Ohio about a year ago, and we adopted a 2 year old American Bulldog from his previous owner and he loved us both. Shortly after we got him he had to undergo serious surgery to save his life, and it seems like ever since then he changed a bit. He growled at my one friend Annie when she pet him and she wouldn't stop and kept ignoring him and pet him even more and he started to show teeth and she leaned in for a kiss and of course he bit her. She immediately told me I need to put him down, but I was definitely not going to do that because he bit because she was ignoring his warnings. But after the bite my boyfriend took him into the kitchen and corrected him (no hitting, he yelled a bit which I disagreed with) but ever since aj disciplined him he constantly growls at Aj. Even if Aj comes over to pet him he growls and sometimes shows teeth. He never does this to me, I'm wondering if he was scared of Aj yelling. I want to fix this because now he is starting to growl at guys who are friends of ours who just pet him. Please help! Also he does not like other dogs (as american bulldogs usually don't) and we have trained on that and it has gotten better. But I can't have our dog growling at Aj because we all live together. ok gave birth to first child at the end of jan 2011 decided to go back on yasmin birth control pill. doctor recommended waiting until first period. last Wednesday the 13th april 2011 started what i believed to be my period so i began taking the pill. however the bleeding only lasted about 24 hours and was extremely light. i continued to take the pill. can anyone advise 1 what there first period was like after birth 2 how long it actually took to resume normality and 3 am i covered by the pill now given that that more that 7 days has elapsed
