Is a VBAC more possible if a long time has elapsed between pregnancies?

For example, suppose a woman has a baby via c section in 1994 and doesn't have her second baby until 2006. Does she have a greater chance of having a successful VBAC (as opposed to winding up with a second c-section) than a woman who only waits about two years before having another child? I'm just wondering if the 12 years inbetween would allow for much better healing of the uterus and thus less need for a repeat c section?
