How to download videos to movie maker?

I have a Galaxy S t-mobile phone, and i recorded a video that i want to put into movie maker. I already downloaded the videos onto the computer, but when i copy/paste or import the video and put it in the movie maker timeline, it doesnt work and will show up blank but time will elapse. how can i fix this?
