Went to a music lyric website and now a virus?

I went searching for lyrics to a song and it redirected me to 'my computer' with virus warnings and a virus remover at the bottom. (still through the Internet) So I exited out and started a "On-Demand Scan Progress - Full scan. Now I'm on my iPod trying to figure what virus I could have picked up. Any ideas or suggestions?
