Is Vector Marketing/Cutco a scam?

i just got home from an interview a few hours ago and i was really impressed by the rep there. however i went online and found dozens of warnings claiming this to be a scam but most of them are 2+ years old. does anyone know from personal experience if this is a scam? they said we don't need to pay for the kit or anything. thanks
