Why are there so many gay men kissing & cuddling on the tv these days...?

Every other program seems to feature gays openly being gay/feminine, is there any need to show this kind of stuff. Should it be restricted to late night adult channels or have warnings so that parents & their children can choose not to watch programs that contain this sort of behaviour. personally i think it should be banned from tv altogether.
